Grūv Design Studio (pronounced groove) is a full service architectural design studio specializing in residential and commercial projects, humbly serving the beautiful state of Michigan.
Our approach to architecture? Simple: listen, iterate, execute.
We aim to make the process of architectural design, development, and finalization a pleasurable experience for our clients, and to create architecture that is beautiful in both form and function. We also take pride in designing energy efficient structures and take care in sourcing/specifying domestic building components.

Sean Baron
Founder / Principal
Grūv Design Studio is led by Sean Baron, RA. Sean has practiced architecture since 2008, beginning his career with the award winning Salt Lake City firm, Blalock and Partners. Working with Blalock and Partners for almost 15 years, Sean had the honor of being involved with the majority of the firm’s projects, and was active in the administrative functions of the business. He was most frequently involved in projects from design phase through construction completion, often in the capacity of project architect and manager. Most importantly, Sean had the incredible gift of working with talented and fun professionals on challenging and fulfilling projects.
Sean started Grūv Design Studio in early 2023 with the aim of creating beautiful architecture that complements Michigan’s gorgeous landscapes and shorelines. He currently holds an architect’s and a residential builder’s license in Michigan.
